Where ENACCT Has Been, 2006-2007

ENACCT 2008 Annual Retreat Recap

This year’s Pilot Education Program Annual Site Meeting took place on January 27th-30th 2008 at the Joseph B. Martin Conference Center at Harvard Medical School. The meeting attendees included the NOVA Evaluators, Cherishing Our Hearts Our Souls Team Leaders, Cross Cultural Collaborative Navigators and Decatur Community Partnership’s Strategy Team Members. The overall meeting goals included mapping out the key steps to reaching and sustaining each site’s long term vision and gaining insight into effective approaches to local advocacy-policy change. The attendees left the retreat reenergized for the upcoming year.

Community Conversations on Cancer” was broadcast on KISS-FM, 92.7, in May 2007. Dr. Wendi El-Amin, Director, UVa Cancer Center Health Disparities Initiative, interviewed Margo Michaels about cancer clinical trials and access for African Americans.

ENACCT 2007 Annual Retreat Recap

This year’s PEP Annual Site Meeting took place on January 21st-24th 2007 at the University of Washington-Tacoma Campus. The meeting attendees included the University of Pittsburgh Evaluators, Cherishing Our Hearts Our Souls Team Leaders, Cross Cultural Collaborative Navigators and Decatur Community Partnership’s Strategy Team Members. The overall meeting goals included reflecting on partners’ experiences, accomplishments, challenges, and lessons learned over the past year and exploring avenues and strategies for local policy change efforts. The attendees left the retreat reinvigorated for the upcoming year.
