ENACCT’s mission is to improve access to cancer clinical trials through education and collaboration with communities, health care providers, and researchers.

What We Do

ENACCT was founded in 2004 and is the only national organization devoted solely to identifying, implementing and evaluating innovative community-centered approaches to cancer clinical trials education. We seek to increase cancer clinical trial participation and access to quality care for all cancer patients— especially those who are from underserved communities.

Staff

The team at ENACCT is small, but mighty. The organization is led by Margo Michaels, a former education branch chief at the National Cancer Institute. Ms. Michaels is a passionate advocate for cancer clinical trials and knows that it is critical that all treatment options are on the table for every person diagnosed with cancer. To ensure that, the entire ENACCT staff works to build active, energetic community networks of health care professionals. Together they work within communities nationwide to advocate for clinical trials.

Board of Directors

ENACCT is led by a diverse national board of cancer survivors, clinicians, and leaders of cancer advocacy and policy organizations. They are tireless and dedicated supporters of ENACCT’s mission, recognizing that the quality of patient care is improved by clinical trials and access to clinical trials is a key part of access to the best care.
