Decatur Community Partnership is a confederation of agencies, organizations and people who work collaboratively to improve the health of the Decatur and Macon County community. The Decatur Community Partnership board meets every other month to review all of its funded programs and their progress.

As the newest DCP project, ENACCT DECATUR will:

  • enhance our partnership's capacity and scope
  • adapt and deliver cancer clinical trial outreach and education programs
  • work to engage our community to break down barriers to clinical trials, addressing specific barriers for patients, physicians, and the medically underserved

ENACCT STRATEGY TEAM

All grants received by the DCP have their own strategy teams. The ENACCT strategy team is a 19 member group that consists of healthcare professionals, community leaders and people personally affected by cancer. The team meets monthly to help plan and implement all local efforts strategies.

In early 2006, Abbey Britton accepted the job of ENACCT grant coordinator. Abbey has a background in clinical research and was a Clinical Research Associate for 3 ½ years. Abbey is thrilled to be a part of this grant and eager to see what the future holds for the community.
