What's New at COHS
In the area of peer education, our trainers
have gained confidence and experience; we’ve
reached 47 individuals through workshops or presentations
this quarter, about evenly split between community
leaders and health care providers. We’ve broadened
our reach and visibility in the community by
attending a number of community events in the
spring of 2007, such as the Knowledge, Strength,
and Grace Conference, Prostate Cancer Symposium,
CISCRP’s AWARE FOR ALL, and the Harlem-Roxbury
Book Fair.
The BID Initiative is also hosting an inaugural
symposium on cancer clinical trials access on
October 16, 2007 titled, “Revolutionizing Access:
Cancer Clinical Trials Access and Communities
of Color.” Please

COHS is also gearing up to provide a training
untitled “Optimizing Your Trial Recruitment
and Retention” on November 29th 2007.
