We have begun working with the WA Comprehensive Cancer Control Partnership as they update the state Cancer Plan to prioritize clinical trials and include clinical trials goals, objectives and strategies.

Our local CCOP’s IRB has permitted the use of the “short form”; a short version of the consent form approved by the HHS Office of Human Research Protection. We are now working with the CCOP to determine optimal ways to implement the form with patients. Our Policy and Advisory Committee (PAC) has agreed on using breast cancer trials as a “case study” to implement the use of the short form.
